Re: [Handle-info] information flow of the traffic for port 2641

If you keep 8000 closed you are removing a fallback that might be used by some clients in some cases. For that reason, we wouldn't recommend it. However if it is strictly necessary, it is unlikely to prevent most people from successfully accessing your handles.

If you choose that, please contact hdladmin@cnri.reston.va.us... we'll need to adjust the HS_SITE value of your prefix handle so that it doesn't advertise 8000 as an accessible interface. You could also change your server's config.dct so that it doesn't listen to 8000.

Best,
Robert

Hi Robert,

Does it mean we do not have to open port 8000? If 2641 is in place?

Thanks and Regards,
