Thanks, Sean. I'll keep your advice in mind when managing groups. For what it's worth, I did send an authoritative query to the handle server for 9999/AdminGroup immediately after deleting the handle, to no effect; does an authoritative query flush the client cache, but not the server cache?

Hi Scott,

Because of the way that the cache works, sending the authoritative request after deleting the handle would not have any effect. Setting the authoritative flag means that the resolver (in this case in the server) bypasses the cache when resolving the handle but it does put the result of that resolution back into the cache. Because the handle had been deleted, there was nothing to put back into the cache. The resolver didn't delete the old cached value, but it would have if the handle hadn't been deleted.

Thanks,
Sean
