Thank you for the report.  As you observe this is evidently a serious  
problem.  We have designed a fix which should eliminate the problem--- 
in your case your browser would simply use the proxy server  
immediately.  We'll keep the list posted about the progress of that.

I'm a bit surprised by the time you describe, which is considerably  
longer than our tests here.  I'd like to hear other reports from users  
behind firewalls.  Again, the problem should disappear with a fix we  
are now working on.
