Re: [Handle-info] 0.type

Hola Jane,
Thanks for answering my previous question. I have a few more:
What is the connection between the IDF (international doi foundation) and CNRI ?
Is there a backup made of all the local handle services in case one ceases to exist?

I am still reading the documentation, and will probably have other questions further on.
Thanks,

Hi Richard: Right now the only types that are registered(and that means created in the handle system) are URL, EMAIL, DESC and all the administrative types such as HS_SITE and HS_ADMIN. But we are working on having a real registry to hold this information and make it available to all handle system users. We also hope to have users contribute their own types. All of these means that we need to come up with policy and procedures. I will definitely keep you posted by using this email list. Thank you for your interest. Jane Euler CNRI

Hi,
I have seen in the docs for Handle System a predefined type : 0.type/URL.
I'd like to know what other types are predefined. Any for images?
