[handle-dev] Handle administration July 27 - 28, 2001
Hello:
Due to a planned power outage(10pm eastern time July 27 through 9pm eastern time July 28) affecting the Global Handle servers in California, I would suggest any Handle administration be postponed during this time. Handle clients use the Global Handle service for authentication and server site information, so your administrative requests are likely to fail or time-out.
You should know that future administrative clients developed at CNRI will have a new option that enables the client software to automatically pick an alternate, and functional, Global server if it encounters one that is not functioning.
