That is my fault - sorry about that.  The problem was that I compiled =
this=20
release with the JDK 1.3 instead of 1.1 like all previous releases.  I
have recompiled it under a 1.1 JDK and put copies here:

(Jane, could you upload these to the official location?)

Also, if anyone is interested in running the handle client or server
with new versions of Java (for example, 1.3), we are now using the
1.3 JRE from Sun to run the root and DOI handle servers.  If you have
any trouble running this version under the 1.3 JRE please let us know.
