[handle-dev] New root service information AND new version of Handle Server

All:
The service information for the Global Handle Registry(root service) has changed. This means that everyone using a handle client(such as the Handle Admin Tool) needs to update their root service(root_info file) information. To do this, you will need to download the new server software(see below), remove the ~/.handle/root_info file (if on a non-unix machine ~/ refers to either their home directory, or possibly to where java or windows is installed) and then run the new software. It is extremely important that you update this file and your software. Please do this at your earliest convenience.
Everyone who is running a server needn't worry about the root_info file since servers automatically update their own root_info file every 24 hours.

ALSO:

There is now a new version of the Handle Server and Client Library- Java. The new server version includes the ability to backup and checkpoint your server and list all handles under a specified naming authority. In order to upgrade to the new version, you will need to stop your server, remove the lock file, then replace your handle.jar file with new one and restart the server.

Please download the software at your earliest convenience:
Server - http://www.handle.net/hs-source/hsj-5.1.tar.gz
Client lib(java) - http://www.handle.net/hs-source/hcj-5.1.tar.gz

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.
