When one of the GHR servers is
resolving a handle on our local server the communication is
straight forward - one query and one reply.
However, when I try to resolve a
non existing suffix (with our prefix) I see three attempts to
resolve that handle.
tcpdump packet analyser shows
additional communication going on and it seems the result of this
are the additional resolution attempts.
Therefore, I want to ask you if
it is expected or if there is any handle.net tool which I can use
for a convenient analysis of the communication.
Technical details:
We use an updated DSpace
HandleManager (in the configuration we have a custom storage type)
which logs every unsuccessful resolution attempt.
