[Handle-info] OpenHandle lives again
Dear All,
The server hosting a live instance of Tony Hammond's OpenHandle
project has been offline for a while, meaning that the examples in the
Handle Gallery (http://code.google.com/p/openhandle/wiki/HandleGalleryPage
) don't work at present.
As I was keen to explore OpenHandle a bit more, I've set up an
instance of OpenHandle at http://bioguid.info/openhandle/
You can enter handles using the web form. As an example of the kind of
output you can expect, see http://tinyurl.com/multipleresolution
Thanks to Tony for making the code freely available, and painless to
install -- once I'd downloaded more Java applications, servers, and
development tools than is healthy for a Java sceptic like me. Please
direct any feedback about OpenHandle in general to Tony, I'll happily
field questions about this particular instance.
Regards
Rod
